Denon PMA-1510AE and DCD-1510AE

15 avril 2010

Denon has completed its new stereo line-up with the PMA-1510AE stereo amp and DCD-1510AE CD/SACD player.

The DCD-1510AE includes features and technologies which have ‘trickled down’ from the company’s flagship DCD-2010AE, including an improved Denon SVH Suppress Vibration Hybrid) drive mechanism to reduce vibration and a new master clock to minimise jitter, as well as Denon’s own Advanced AL32 processing and 32-bit/192kHz conversion.

It will play SACDs (stereo only with the accompanying amp though), CDs, and MP3/WMA files from CD-R/RW discs and it also has a front-mounted USB port for playback from USB memory sticks, iPods, iPhones and other MP3 players.

The PMA-1510AE amp is capable of delivering 70 watts per channel, and uses Denon’s Ultra High Current MOS Single Push-Pull Circuit topology. It also has a high-current power supply to help increase its dynamic ability and both transformers have been set in leakage-cancelling mounts. The chassis has also been redesigned to lower the centre of gravity and help improve grounding.

There’s a ‘power amp direct’ mode which makes it easier to integrate with an AC system and like the player it has green leanings with low standby energy consumption and automatic shutdown when it’s not in use.

Both the Denon PMA-1510AE and DCD-1510AE will be available later in April for £900 each.
