Screen Innovations Black Diamond 'daylight' projector screens

1 avril 2010

US-based projection screen specialist Screen Innovations has announced further details of its Black Diamond range, including price guidelines, which it officially launched in the UK in February.

Screen Innovations Black Diamond

Black Diamond uses a unique ambient light rejection technology which allows pictures to be viewed in daylight without loss of definition. The screens include a positive gain material with a wider viewing angle, which allows even midrange projectors to be used in bright environments like a standard living room pub – which might come in handy for daytime World Cup matches in the summer.

The two models for the UK are:

Black Diamond II HD 1.4 Black projector screen material

  • Weight = 0.43kg/m2
  • Gain = 1.4
  • Half Gain Angle = 44 degrees
  • Future compliant with resolutions greater than 2K

Tom Garrett, Technical Product Specialist at Anthem AV Solutions, said: “Black Diamond II Screens satisfy the growing demand for large screen solutions. They deliver dramatically higher picture quality at sharply competitive prices and are equally at home with the lights on or off.”

Black Diamond II fixed frame screens are custom built to order in any size from 80in to 113in. The screens are available through distributor Anthem AV Solutions with the cost for a 110in screen around £3,300.
