Hampshire-based cable manufacturer Monkey Cable has revealed its debut line of HDMI cables.

The three ranges include HDMI 1.3 and 1.4 varieties in the entry-level Concept, midrange Clarity and high-end Connoisseur series.

The Concept includes oxygen-free copper conductors, 24ct gold-plated connection pins and full support for HD audio codecs for lossless surround sound.

The Clarity promises future-proofing with capacity for up to 2160p resolution (well beyond the maximum 1080p currently available to TVs in the UK) and is claimed to be optimised for extra-large screens of 100in and beyond. The HDMI 1.3 variety is said to be able to handle up to 1440p while the 1.4 variety can cope with up to 2160p with Deep Color.
