Brit speaker brand PMC has announced the latest in its Fact line of premium stereo loudspeakers, the Fact 3.
The new speaker will debut at the Sound & Vision hi-fi show in Bristol this weekend, and is intended as a considerably more compact version of last year’s Fact 8 floorstander.
The two-way standmount features PMC’s ATL (Advanced Transmission Line) technology as well as a SONOMEX soft-domed ferrofluid-cooled tweeter and a pair of the same hand-made 5.5in bass/mid drivers found in the Fact 8.
PMC claims it can deliver a frequency response ranging from 30kHz all the way down to 35Hz thanks to the compression of the ATL. Meanwhile the crossover network features 14 elements and 24dB per octave filters to ensure perfect matching.
The slim-line cabinet features internal bracing and comes in a choice of wood veneer finishes including Rich Walnut, Natural Oak, Tiger Ebony and Graphite Poplar, all apparently sourced from sustainable forests.
The Fact 3 will be available in April for £3,995 but that won’t include stands.
