Budget system brand TEAC has unveiled a new compact micro-system receiver with DAB/FM/AM stereo RDS tuner, built-in amp and CD player.
The CR-H258i can play discs with CD, CD-R/RW and MP3 files formats, as well as music files from SD memory cards, USB storage devices (there are dedicated slots for each), or an iPod using the company’s DS-20 dock (£40). The radio meanwhile offers a range of preset stations (ten for DAB, 30 each for AM and FM).
The amp kicks out 2×25W of power, and offers two analogue audio inputs as well as digital and analogue audio outputs, a subwoofer output and a headphone socket.
The supplied remote control will also control your iPod if you’re using the BS-20 dock and there are also timer and sleep functions on board.
The TEAC CR-H258i is available now in black for £250.
