Korean manufacturer LG is in line to produce the biggest 3D TV yet, a 65-incher Full HD LCD model due to go into production in 2010.
The 65in panel will be supplied by AU Optronics, the same company that manufactures for Apple, Samsung and BenQ among others, though LG doesn’t expect it to be available until the back half of the year.
AUO indicated that the flat panel industry’s future development of technology will focus on high resolution and 3D displays, and fast response time will be a key factor for the development.
No word on pricing yet, though we wouldn’t expect it to be cheap, and it’s unlikely to arrive in time for any possible 3D World Cup coverage.
