LG has let slip some more details about its upcoming range of super-flat TVs due to be launched next week.
The company is grouping the SL9000 and SL8000 ranges under the banner ‘Seamless Entertainment’, which refers to their ‘frameless’ design, where the cover glass goes all the way to the edge.
The SL9000 will come in 42in and 47in sizes and SL8000 in 32in, 37in, 42in and 47in and both ranges are promised to be packed with features, including a Full-HD 1080p LED screen with a contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 (for the SL9000s – Full-HD LCD for the SL8000s), Intelligent Sensor technology which automatically adjusts picture quality depending on the viewing environment and 200Hz or 100Hz Trumotion processing.
Unusually though, they will also have Bluetooth connectivity which will allow you to use the TV with a compatible wireless headphone set, or to send photos, videos or music from your mobile phone. There will also be USB connectivity for a more conventional wired approach.
We’ll know more after the launch on 12 November.
