Roberts Sound 80 retro DAB/FM radio

8 octobre 2009

With what passes for the current music charts seemingly teeming with young popstrels intent on reviving music they first heard while still in nappies, Roberts has jumped on the eighties revival bandwagon with its retro-themed radio from the decade that style forgot.

The Sound 80 DAB/FM radio’s acoustically tuned gloss black cabinet features chunky dials and faux ultraviolet flashes designed to transport us back to the days of Amstrad and Adam Ant.

Inside though it’s all modern, with a line-in socket for connecting MP3 players, three-way speaker system with subwoofer, plus ten station presets for DAB or FM radio, which also includes RDS station info on the large digital display. There’s also an alarm clock function with sleep and snooze timers, plus a setting that wakes you by gradually increasing the volume.

The Roberts Sound 80 is available now for £100.
