Intempo Phono rotating iPod dock

6 octobre 2009

Portable music player specialist Intempo Digital has launched its new iPod speaker dock ‘with a twist’, the Phono.

It features an unusual spherical look, but more usefully, it also has a rotating dock which turns your player through 90 degrees, allowing you to not only play your tunes, but also watch video on the iPhone or iPod Touch’s landscape wide screen.

The onboard amplifier pumps out 20 watts of power through twin speakers and an integrated sub for extra low-end heft. It also comes with an FM radio featuring 20 presets, a backlit LCD display and EQ settings for treble and bass. It can also be used as alarm clock with sleep function.

The Phono is compatible with the entire iPod range and charges every docked player except, as is the norm with these things, the Shuffle.

Amandeep Randhawa, marketing manager for Intempo, said: “There’s no need to set your iPhone to flight mode as there is no static kick-back when it’s charging and the rotating dock is the perfect touch for when you want to view online videos.”

The Intempo Phono will be available from December in black or white, price £100.
