Elac MicroSUB 2010 Art Edition

6 octobre 2009

German speaker manufacturer Elac has unveiled a limited ‘Art Edition’ of its MicroSUB 2010 speaker, as inspired by the work of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian.

Decorated with the classic grid pattern typical of the De Stijl abstract art movement, the MicroSUB is far from a shrinking violet, either visually, or, the company claims, sonically.

Elac also claims that it’s the smallest hi-fi subwoofer in the world at just 21.8×15×17.8cm and it includes no less than four amplifiers – two for bass and two for mid/treble speakers – and it can be partnered with satellite loudspeakers to create a standard 2.1 desktop speaker system.

A range of cinch sockets and a 3.5mm jack plug mean it can hook up to all manner of sources, from MP3 players to CD players.

The limited edition MicroSUB 2010 is available now for around £870.
