Keith Monks RUBY Record Cleaning Machine

15 septembre 2009

To celebrate 40 years at the top of its own particular tree, Keith Monks Audio has announced the RUBY limited edition Record Cleaning Machine, based on its OMNI machine which came out last year.

Keith Monks’ Record Cleaning Machine from 1969 was the first device of its kind, and created a niche for itself among serious vinyl collectors, record shops and libraries.

Just 40 models have been built, but each includes a new VacuGauge suction monitoring system and chrome-rim dial gauge, which sits next to the traditional Mini Cooper windscreen washer pump, all the rage when the device was first premiered, and still going strong. There’s also a splashguard to prevent excess fluid scattering across the surrounding area.

Included in the distinctive Ruby Red cabinet is a trio of Keith Monks Pyr/\Mat ‘stay-clean’ record cleaning mats, cleaning fluid and a set of brushes.

Jonathan Monks said: “After 40 years we are delighted that my father’s work continues to be regarded as the state of the art in record care. The Ruby Anniversary now gives us the opportunity to realise another new set of useful features which I’ve been working on these past few years.”
