Du nouveau chez le manufacturier Thiel qui en cette période printanière lance une solution audio idéale pour les possesseurs d'écrans Plasma, une enceinte à placer directement de chaque coté d'un l'écran plasma la View Point.
La View Point qui est d'ores et déjà disponible se présente sous la forme d'une enceinte murale que l'utilisateur positionnera de chaque côté de son écran. Jusque là, rien de bien nouveau puisque d'autres fabricants proposent ce type de solutions.
Cependant c'est au niveau du choix des dimensions et des finitions que toute se joue puisque le manufacturier se propose de vous fournir une enceinte dont la taille et la finition correspondront à votre plasma.
Côté caractéristiques chaque enceinte est bâtie autour d'une structure « tout aluminium » permettant de part sa conception et son assemblage d'éviter tous les effets de vibration dus aux ondes sonores parasites.
En parallèle, la View Point intègre un transducteur coaxial propriétaire muni de deux voies (Tweeter et médium/basse). La position de ce dernier (à 90°) permettre ici d'avoir diffusion optimale et surtout plus large.
Côté puissance, chaque enceinte sera capable d'encaisser une puissance électrique de 50 à 400 watts (4 ohms) pour une bande passante de 60 Hz à 20 kHz.

U.S. loudspeaker manufacturer, THIEL Audio, announces its newest model, the ViewPoint (TM), a high performance loudspeaker designed for use with wall-mounted, flat panel video displays.
The THIEL ViewPoint is a 2-way Coherent Source (R) loudspeaker designed to visually integrate with any brand of flat-panel, wall-mounted video display. The built-to-order, all-aluminum enclosure is trimmed in length and painted to match the customer's display by THIEL for wall-mounting directly aside the display. The ViewPoint's suggested retail price is $1990 each.
Patent-pending design for high performance sonic reproduction
The ViewPoint's combination of coaxial/coplanar driver mounting and 90-degree radiation pattern enables the sound to cover the room far more completely than normal, more directional surface-mount or in-wall speakers. By utilizing the patent-pending combination of mounting the woofer very close and angled to the wall surface, the ViewPoint eliminates the wall-reflection cancellation that mars the sonic performance of virtually every other surface-mounted speaker, therefore providing a greater degree of tonal fidelity, accuracy, and more natural spaciousness.
The ViewPoint's coaxial driver mounting, very wide dispersion characteristics, and excellent imaging performance also eliminate the need for a third, center channel loudspeaker. THIEL's Coherent Source design preserves the critical information that contributes to outstanding spatial reproduction to insure accurate dialog and proper center fill.
All-metal diaphragm, ultra-low distortion drivers
The ViewPoint's 1-inch tweeter and 6.5-inch woofer use very low-distortion short coil/long gap, copper-stabilized motor systems, coupled with low resonance aluminum diaphragms and high quality electrical network components for outstanding performance. The tweeter is the same unit as used in THIEL's flagship model CS7.2.
