CES 2004 : Kiss Technology

Kiss technology qui à été l’une des première marque a commercialiser des lecteurs de DVD intégrant le Procédé DIVX, présentait en cette nouvelle édition une nouvelle série de produits dédiés au marché Home Cinéma. A la carte trois nouveaux lecteurs de DVD les DVD -1500, DP-1504 et DP-1508, qui intègrent entre autre la fonctionnalité WiFi et la lecture des formats MPEG-4, DivX (4, 5 et 3.11), XviD, CD/MP3, Ogg Vorbis, CD-RW, DVD-RW et JPEG.
D’autre part on notera que les évolutions technologiques ne s’arrètent pas la puisque les DP-1504 et DP-1508 intègrent un disque dur d’une capacité respective de 40 GB et 80 GB.

Les DP-1500 et DP-1504 sont d’ores et déjà disponibles et le DP-1508 le sera courant 2004

En complément vidéo la marque proposera un écran plasma de 42 pouces d’une résolution de 1024 par 1024 pixels, et qui sera vendu courant Janvier...

KiSS Technology is now launching three new DVD players – DP-1500, DP-1504 and DP-1508, which provide a wireless connection to both the Internet and hard disk, with an elegant design. The new machines make it easier to download and view films directly from the Internet and to store films and pictures on the hard disk. All are compatible to DivX 4, 5 and 3.11.

The three new players from KiSS take up no more space than a telephone book. The elegant design and the discreet blue lighting of the buttons signal style and cutting-edge technology. With the wireless network connection, it is no longer necessary to lay cables in the home to transfer films and pictures from the PC to the DVD player.

The network connection also makes it possible to hook up to the Internet directly from the DVD players, to gain access to the enormous selection of Internet radio stations. With the KiSS players, the user already has access to more than 3,000 Internet radio stations. KiSS Technology has simultaneously developed a video-on-demand solution that makes it possible to offer rental and viewing of films on the DVD player direct from the Internet via an ordinary broadband connection.

DP-1500 is a refinement of KiSS Technology's award-winning DP-500, now in a new design and with wireless network connection. DP-1504 and 1508 are also equipped with 40 GB HD and 80 GB HD, respectively. All players support the following formats: DVD, MPEG-4, DivX (4, 5 and 3.11), XviD, CD/MP3, Ogg Vorbis, CD-RW, DVD-RW and JPEG.

DP-1500 and DP-1504 are expected to be on sale in Europe from January 2004. DP-1508 is expected to arrive during the first quarter of 2004. Recommended sales prices start at €349.

KiSS Technology presents the first High Definition-quality plasma TV with integrated DVD player and wireless Internet access

The 42-inch KiSS Plasma TV illustrates the Danish product designer’s currently unsurpassed attention to detail with the recessing of the cables in the screen’s base. Thanks to the integrated DivX certified DVD player and wireless Ethernet, movies, presentations, photographs, music and access to Internet radio are all part of the KiSS Plasma’s high standard features.

KiSS Technology, a globally leading Scandinavian manufacturer of DVD products, will launch the KiSS Plasma TV screen at CES. The high-definition PDP provides brilliant image quality and will significantly boost the consumer market for flat screen TV‘s. The plasma TV is ideal for use in boardrooms, for presentations, business meetings, public information systems, information desks and home entertainment.

KiSS Plasma TV are available in 42 inch and has a depth of only 79 mm and can be supplied with a conventional pedestal or wall mounting. Thanks to the recessed cables, the sophisticated look of KiSS Plasma TV is not diminished in the slightest by loads of cables once installed, because DVD are build-in and Ethernet is wireless.

The KiSS Plasma TV includes an integrated DivX certified DVD-player based on the award-winning DP-500, enabling movies to be watched or presentations to be run without requiring any additional hardware. KiSS Plasma TV represent a unique blend of elegant design and high-level functionality: data, information, images and music can be directly accessed on the web through a wireless Ethernet connection, while the KiSS PC-Link Software enables the plasma screen to be directly connected to a PC or Notebook.

The screen is supplied complete with DVD, DivX 3.11, 4 & 5, XviD, CD, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, KiSS Plasma and others as standard features.
