Communiqué de presse

Sharp’s new 52-inch Full HD 1080p AQUOS® Liquid Crystal Television raises the bar for LCD TV performance with a striking new design and Internet functionality. The LC-52D74U includes the AQUOS Net service that allows users to access customized Web-based content, as well as receive real-time customer support from dedicated Sharp advisors. In addition to groundbreaking features, it also sports a stunning new Cornerstone design, including a textured finish that gives way to mirrored corner accents. A Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 18,000:1 provides for some of the industry’s deepest most accurate black levels, while an unparalleled pixel response time of 4ms improves the picture on fast-moving action scenes. With a 4-wavelength backlight system, the D74 model also provides a wider color spectrum to achieve deeper, more vivid reds than was previously possible. Additionally, the model boasts one of Sharp’s most advanced versions of its true 16:9 1080p (1920 × 1080 resolution) Advanced Super View panel. Sharp’s entire AQUOS line was designed by world-renowned industrial designer Toshiyuki Kita, whose designs are on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The AQUOS brand evokes images of liquid crystal fluidity and emphasizes the elegant design and superior performance consumers have come to expect from Sharp products.
