Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) manufacturer Prysm has created a downloadable Twitter Cube giving ISE attendees the chance to follow the discussions of people using the official ISE2013 hashtag. This can be accessed from a QR code on the 4 × 3 LPD videowall screen on Prysm’s stand 11-H45.

The cube will also be available for press as Prysm is the official sponsor of the Press Office, where a 4 × 3 LPD videowall displays all the latest Twitter interactions so people didn’t miss a second of the action.

Steve Scorse, Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Asia for Prysm explained:

“This is a useful tool for helping people navigate their way around the exhibition in real time, picking out the companies that interest them from the promotions and discussions on Twitter. LPD technology is ideal for this type of content, with the seam gap of just 0.25mm and ultra wide viewing angle of 178° meaning no data is lost in the gap or from off axis viewing.”

Prysm’s LPD technology uses solid state ultra violet lasers to scan the surface of the screen to excite the phosphors and create the image. This is an incredibly environmentally friendly process using just 30 watts of power per 25” tile, 75% less than traditional LCD displays therefore dramatically reducing the total cost of ownership. The technology also runs cool meaning no additional HVAC cooling equipment is required.
