More About Imerge at ISE 2009

Combining state of the art electronics with world-class performance, Imerge is demonstrating theMediaServer MS1 and accompanying enterprise-grade storage solutions, dubbed XiVASafe.

The MS1 is the culmination of more than 10 years of media server hardware/software development experience, designed to deliver an exceptional audio-visual experience and set a new benchmark against which all others will be measured.

Proprietary embedded XiVA technology, designed specifically for the custom installation market, builds upon this leading software standard, adding features to the product genre that were previously thought impossible.

A high-definition, graphically driven user interface sets new standards for elegance and ease of use, making the act of browsing and playing back your music and movies media a simple, intuitive pleasure.

A world-beating media server solution deserves to be partnered with the very best in hard drive technology, in order to deliver the ultimate experience… and the new Imerge XiVASafe storage solutions don’t disappoint.

The iSCSI XiVASafe solutions, for instance, offer enterprise-grade RAID 6 hard drive arrays, fully customised for the CI industry by Imerge, with data-centre standards of reliability and security for audio-visual content – standards previously only encountered in financial, medical and scientific markets.

ISE 2009 sees the MediaServer MS1 + XiVASafe hard disk media system displayed and demonstrated in all its audio-visual glory. Charlie Mertz, Business Development Manager for Imerge, commented: “We are very excited about this year’s show. We’ve invested in the largest stand in our history with a state-of-the-art theatre designed to show off the capabilities of our latest hardware and software. Attendees can expect to be ‘wowed’ by the products, the stand, the demos, the staff. We are back where we belong, leading the world in entertainment systems designed to change people’s lives for the better, and it feels good!”

Also on display at ISE 2009 is the new, refreshed GUI (Graphical User Interface) for Imerge’s ever-popular MediaServer MS5000. A real favourite with installers around the world, the MS5000 is unique as a high-definition video server and multi-room audio server in a single box. The update gives the MS5000 the same browse and playback experience as the MS1, allowing the user to enjoy his or her media in true 1920×1080 resolution.

Attendees will be able to get hands-on with the products on the stand, giving everyone a chance to play with the MS1, the MS5000 and further updates to the world’s best-selling music server, the SoundServer S3000. These updates include features such as AAC playback, scalable web UI and connection to the beta version of the innovative TuneXchange application, providing twoway sync with servers, iTunes and iPods.

Commenting on the forthcoming show, Cameron Wade, CEO of Imerge, said: “This is another wonderful step in the rich history of Imerge. It provides us with a fantastic opportunity to showcase our products, and allows us to truly connect with our customers like never before!”
